Elder Bryce Sterling Packer

Welcome to Elder Bryce Packer’s blog. Bryce is the son of Shayne and Tanda Packer of Montgomery Village, MD, USA. He has three older sisters and one older brother. He also has 5 nephews and 3 nieces, and they all adore him.

Bryce is currently on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, called to serve in the Mexico City East Mission. To prepare for his mission Bryce had several interviews, took prep classes, was ordained and set apart, and went through the Temple.

Bryce entered the MTC (Mission Training Center) in Provo, Utah on May 14th, 2008, scheduled for 2 months. He was there an extra month waiting for his visa. During this full-time, intensive training, Bryce learned Spanish and how to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then he flew to Mexico City on Aug 12th, 2008.

About this website

Bryce’s parents maintain this website for him while he is on a mission. When Bryce writes or emails, we add a blog post. [Our editorial comments are enclosed in square brackets.] When he sends digital photos home, we add a page to his online photo album.

Please write Bryce. He’ll love to get a letter from you. We keep his address updated.

Bryce has learned Spanish, and encourages his family to do so. Sometimes he writes part of his letters in Spanish. We may attempt to translate [in square brackets]. We like this free, useful online translation tool. Just copy and paste and tell it to translate Spanish to English. Cool!

Please note: Bryce doesn’t have access to view this blog while he is on his mission. So if you leave comments, he won’t see them but other readers will. If you want to communicate with Bryce, you’ll need to send him a letter (as described above). Thanks.
